The United States Postal Service has faced significant challenges over the years, however, the past 2 years have been especially hard for the agency. 2020 and 2021 have highlighted that the USPS is vulnerable to changes in volume and disruptions from outside factors (pandemic, interference by politicians, lack of funding, etc). Nevertheless, ballots must still get out and delivered in a responsible timeframe. To that end we have worked with industry partners to bring you the ElectionIQ Mail Network. This network is a secondary logistics network whose primary goal is to bypass the unreliable USPS ground network and induce the mail as close to it’s final destination as possible. This eliminates needing to wait for the USPS to decide a truck is full enough to depart for a given city. Need more convincing…compare the chart below.

How It Works
From our clients’ perspective, and from the voter perspective, NOTHING CHANGES. The only noticeable change would be faster delivery times. Behind the curtain things do end up a little different.
See the graphic below for how the USPS currently moves mail. The red box shows all the parts that aren’t under USPS control. That means they have no idea or visibility as to what is happening during that period. When it comes to election mail, that’s just not acceptable in our opinion.
So how are we different. Perhaps the biggest difference is throughout the entire process (from print to mail to voter’s hands) we know where the piece is. We never lose visibility. We know what truck it’s on, where the truck is, and when it’ll be to the next location. At no time do we hand it off out of the network to someone else. It’s always within the original logistics network. Then, once it is at the Post Office closest to the destination it is inducted into the mail stream with USPS.
So in summary:
- We always have eyes on the mail
- It never leaves control of our network
- It’s given to USPS as close to destination as possible
- Faster
- Might even save you money!
