When we set out to find a voting machine manufacturer to partner with we weren’t sure what we’d find. But we did have a list of criteria created from a decade of listening to election officials about what they wanted and needed in a next generation voting system. After looking at several companies we came across Unisyn Voting Systems.
Based in San Diego, CA they are an up and coming presence in elections. They were they first manufacturer to have their systems receive EAC certification under the most recent 2005 Voluntary Voting System Guidelines (VVSG). They also have a philosophy of working with federal and state agencies, as opposed to expecting the agencies to conform to them. Unisyn is the first manufacturer to implement a Linux and Java-based platform giving their products enhanced security that is second to none.
